Middletown Proper Still Under Evacuation Warning 
Instructions:
It has come to our attention that late this afternoon an evacuation notice was mistakenly announced by a deputy in the Middletown area. We apologize for the mistake and any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
The Middletown proper area that had previously been placed under an evacuation warning, still remains in an evacuation warning status. The fire has been very active to east of Middletown proper and firefighters are actively working to mitigate the spread. We ask everyone remain vigilant and prepared to evacuate if it becomes necessary.
All existing evacuation warnings, orders, and road closures remain in effect.
