Thunderstorms...Fast moving thunderstorms producing lightning and limited rainfall are possible tuesday afternoon in the Sierra * Outflow Winds...Gusts of 40 to 50 mph may occur near thunderstorms. * Impacts...Lightning can create new fire starts and may combine with strong outflow winds to cause a fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them.ttp://weather.gov/reno

Keep your phone turned on and near your bed during the night so you can get evacuation notices. Always be prepared to evacuate in Fire Season. Have a GO BAG ready with your important items, park fueled cars facing out, know two ways out of your neighborhood, pay attention to your phone for evacuation notices and GO EARLY, if you see smoke or think you should go.
