The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a
* Flood Warning for... Wayne County in southeastern Michigan... Eastern Oakland County in southeastern Michigan... Macomb County in southeastern Michigan...
* Until 400 PM EDT Friday.
* At 953 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that additional heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorm activity is moving back into the region. This heavy rain will exacerbate areas of ongoing flooding caused by runoff from up to four inches of rain that fell overnight into this morning. Expect numerous road closures throughout the afternoon due to flooding.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Warren, Livonia, Troy, Southfield, Taylor, St. Clair Shores, Pontiac, Novi, Romulus, Mount Clemens, New Baltimore, Grosse Pointe, Downtown Detroit, Canton, Detroit, Sterling Heights, Dearborn, Royal Oak, Wyandotte and Birmingham. This Flood Warning will replace existing Flash Flood Warnings and Flood Advisories issued early this morning.
* AFFECTED AREAS: MACOMB, MI ... OAKLAND, MI ... WAYNE, MI
