Advisory

REMINDER - Tomorrow is the 1st Day of School for St. Louis Public Schools. Please slow down and be extra careful tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the start of another school year. While this year will definitely be different from previous school years, one thing has not changed, we all need to give ourselves some extra time in the mornings and in the afternoon when school lets out.

Please be extra careful as there will be kids walking and riding bicycles to and from school. Traffic will be a bit more congested in the mornings and in the afternoon so you will need to give yourself a few more minutes for travel time.

We have two (2) designated school crossing in St. Louis. One is on N. Main Street next to the Carrie Knause Elementary. The other is on S. Main St at State St. This crossing is a reduced speed zone from 7am-8am and again from 3pm-4pm on school days. Fines/costs for speeding violations in this reduced speed zone are doubled. Both school crossings have designated crossing guards. The crossing guards will have stop signs and reflective hi-viz traffic vests. Please obey their commands when they are helping our children safely cross these busy roadways.

Please be safe and lets work togother to help our kids with a safe start to a new school year.
