SUBJECT: Police Investigation at Local Motel Leads to Drug Charges

Rodney Collazo // 55 year old male // Neptune Twp., NJ
NARRATIVE:
On September 2nd, 2020 members of the Ocean Township Police Department’s Patrol Bureau, led by Sgt. Michael Melody conducted a narcotics investigation at the Tower Motel located on Highway 35 in Ocean Township. As a result of this investigation, Beth Laurent and Rodney Collazo were arrested on various narcotics offenses. Collazo, from Neptune, and Laurent, an Ocean Township resident, were both staying at a room in the motel.
Both were transported to police headquarters where they were processed. Laurent was charged with possession of crack cocaine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. Collazo was charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Both were later released on criminal summonses pending a future court appearance.
