Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators need your help in the murder investigation of 14 year-old Otis Williams. A $10,000 REWARD has been offered by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).
Otis was shot and killed Friday, July 3, 2020, at approximately 8:40 p.m. while he was walking in the alley just south of 98th Street between Central Avenue and Pace Avenue in unincorporated Los Angeles. The driver of a Dodge Challenger stopped at the beginning of the alley where Otis was walking and fired 11-12 shots at Otis striking him multiple times. The Dodge Challenger’s driver, who was also the shooter, then proceeded west on 98th Street, turned north onto South Central Avenue and out of view.
The suspect(s) vehicle is a newer 2015-2018 blue Dodge Challenger with a black stripe on the hood between two air vents, black roof top, rear spoiler and no front plate.

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male juvenile in Unincorporated Los Angeles.
On Friday, July 3, 2020, at 8:40 PM, deputies from Century Sheriff’s Station responded to an alley near the corner of Central Avenue and 98th Street regarding a call of a gunshot victim. Upon arriving, deputies discovered a Black male believed to be in his teens suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect description and the murder weapon remains outstanding.
It’s unknown if this shooting is gang related.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
