You might have noticed a change on Hwy 116 on the west side of town- the speed limit between Town & Country and East Concord has been INCREASED to 45 MPH both eastbound and west bound. This was a decision made by the Plattsburg Street & Alley committee, introduced by the Plattsburg Police Department, and approved by MODOT.
The speed limit will be STRICTLY ENFORCED to prevent accidents and excessive speeds. This was done to keep traffic moving on Hwy 116 where drivers were routinely driving 25 MPH during morning and evening commutes. Please observe the new speed limit and travel safely.
