Detectives arrest Arturo Vizcaino for continuous sexual abuse of a minor

INCIDENT: PC 288.5(a) - Continuous Sexual Abuse to a Minor and PC 288(A) – Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14 Years of Age
LOCATION: City of Loma Linda
VICTIM: Confidential, 13-year old female
SUSPECT: Arturo Luis Vizcaino, 57-year old resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
On August 17, 2020, a 13-year old victim and her mother reported allegations of continuous sexual abuse by a person known to the victim. The victim identified the suspect as Arturo Luis Vizcaino, a 57-year old resident of San Bernardino. The allegations of sexual molestation began when the victim was five years old and continued until she was eleven years old.
Detectives from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department - Central Patrol Station assumed the investigation. On September 3, 2020, Vizcaino was located and interviewed regarding the allegations of sexual abuse. Investigators obtained evidence to corroborate the victim’s statement. Vizcaino was arrested for two felonies, PC 288.5(a) - Continuous Sexual Abuse to a Minor and PC 288(A) – Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14 Years of Age. Vizcaino was booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino and bail is set at $350,000.
