RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT BEGINNING TONIGHT AT 10PM THROUGH WEDNESDAY 8AM IN THE EAST BAY HILLS.
The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for the East Bay Hills...which is in effect from Today at 10:00 PM to Wednesday 8:00 AM PDT. A Red Flag Fire Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and hot temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
Winds are forecast to increase tonight and the strongest winds are expected on Tuesday, which provides drying conditions to areas that are already dry...increasing the fire danger.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Residents should maintain an awareness of conditions in the surrounding areas. If you see a fire or a vertical column of smoke, please report it by calling 9-1-1. Ensure you are signed up for the Community Warning System (CWS) by going to www.cwsalerts.com. Check www.lamorindacert.org or https://www.readyforwildfire.org/we-content/uploads/calfire_set_brochure_LINOweb.pd for more information about emergency preparedness.
