Press Release Suspect Wanted in an Attempted Murder

On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at approximately 3:14 am, the Manhattan Beach Police Department received several 911 calls of shots being fired at the Residence Inn located at 1700 N. Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach.  When MBPD officers arrived at the hotel, they confirmed shots had been fired into an occupied vehicle.   There were two victims inside the vehicle who were not hit by the gun fire and the suspect had already fled the scene.
 
MBPD detectives were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.  At this time, we can confirm this was a targeted shooting and one known suspect is outstanding.  MBPD detectives are currently searching for the suspect and there is currently no threat to the community.
