Pacific Gas & Electric Company recently announced a Public Safety Power Shutoff event that may impact the community of Lebec. PG&E is scheduled to shut off power to several hundred customers in Lebec today, Tuesday, September 8th, and is tentatively scheduled to restore power to these customers tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9th. For the health, safety, and comfort of affected residents, Kern County has opened a cooling center in Frazier Park. The cooling center is open at the Frazier Park Recreation Building, 3801 Park Drive, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow.
