On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at approximately 3:14 am, the Manhattan Beach Police Department received several 911 calls of shots being fired at the Residence Inn located at 1700 N. Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach.  When MBPD officers arrived at the hotel, they confirmed shots had been fired into an occupied vehicle.   There were two victims inside the vehicle who were not hit by the gun fire and the suspect had already fled the scene.  MBPD detectives were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.
 
Late afternoon on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, MBPD detectives located and arrested the suspect, Sharday Tinker, 33 years old and a resident of Culver City.
