Arrests Made Following Larceny and Pedestrian Injury
The Guilderland Police Department has arrested Lovell T. Roper DOB: 03/16/1993, of Glens Falls, NY, and James M. Carlton, DOB: 04/17/1981, of Hudson Falls, following a larceny complaint and foot chase by Guilderland officers that originated from a store located in Crossgates Mall today at 3:30 p.m.
During the incident, James Carlton fled the scene in a vehicle striking a pedestrian that was in the parking lot. Carlton was later located and taken into custody without incident by SUNY Police on Waverly Place. The pedestrian was treated at the scene by Guilderland EMS for non-life threatening injuries. Lovell Roper was taken into custody near the Homewood Suites hotel near the mall.
James Carlton has been charged with Petit Larceny and Resisting Arrest. Lovell Roper was charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd, Assault 3rd.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
