If you live in the North County, the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) has recommended the placement of Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Joshua Cooley at 15077 Adams Drive in Pauma Valley. He was convicted of committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.

While this address falls within the jurisdiction of the Valley Center Sheriff's Substation, THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT OR SAFE TASK FORCE (SEXUAL ASSAULT FELONY ENFORCEMENT) ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SELECTION OF THE PROPOSED SITE. THAT SELECTION PROCESS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DSH AND HUMBOLDT SUPERIOR COURT.

Due to current coronavirus/COVID-19 health concerns, a virtual placement hearing will be held. Comments will be accepted during this hearing on:
