On Tuesday September 15, 2020 at approximately 4:27 AM, Palmdale Deputies responded to a call of a collision on 30^th Street East and Avenue M in the City of Palmdale.
 
Deputies learned a White Male adult, driving a black 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander, was traveling eastbound on Avenue M. Additionally, a White Male adult was driving a white 2002 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on 30^th Street East. Both drivers entered the intersection simultaneously. The Mitsubishi Outlander collided with the passenger side of the Volkswagen Jetta causing the Volkswagen Jetta to roll over.  
 
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles County Fire Department due to injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
 
Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in this collision
 
The cause of this collision is currently under investigation. Should anyone have additional information regarding the circumstances of this collision, they are asked to contact the Palmdale Sheriff station Traffic Unit.
