Flash Flood Warning until 07:15AM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Meriwether County in west central Georgia... Troup County in west central Georgia...

* Until 715 AM EDT Thursday.

* At 113 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Doppler radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... LaGrange, Greenville, Manchester, West Point, Hogansville, Woodbury, Luthersville, Warm Springs, Haralson, Lone Oak, Gay, Mountville, Odessadale, Big Springs, Stovall, Saint Marks, Louise, Durand, Harris City and Smiths Crossroad. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with locally heavier amounts are possible in the warned area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: TROUP, GA ... MERIWETHER, GA
