Location of Incident: 5600 block of Bay Street
Date/Time Occurred: September 19, 2020 4:10PM
On Saturday 9/19/20 at 4:10pm a large crowd of juveniles gathered near the 5600 block of Bay Street began fighting. After initially dispersing as officers arrived, the crowd regrouped and grew to over 200. The group began blocking traffic on Shellmound St. and officers from the Oakland Police Department responded to assist. The crowd gradually dispersed. There were no reported injuries or arrests and a few reports of minor vandalism.
