Felony OWI 4th Offense
On September 20, 2020, at 11:53PM, the Middleton Police Department was dispatched to the area of 3001 Deming Way in reference to a security guard requesting police due to a person in a white SUV acting suspiciously in the parking lot area. The suspect, who was later identified as Daniel S. Erdman, 35 years old, left his vehicle parked partially on the curb.
Officers made contact with Erdman nearby and noted that he was displaying signs of impairment by alcohol, including slurred speech, blood shot eyes and a strong odor of intoxicants. Erdman performed a portion of the field sobriety tests until he became uncooperative with police. Erdman obstructed Officers on scene by initially providing a false name.
Erdman has three prior convictions for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for 4th offense OWI, a felony, and booked into the Dane County Jail.
