Crews will continue to prep and add additional depth to secure lines north of Mt. Wilson and in the northeast between Highway 2 and Big Rock Creek. These continued strategic firing operations are done to secure the fire's perimeter from the fire making a run at the fire lines from unburned fuels within. Crew, engines, equipment and aircraft work in coordination to build holding lines, plumb the lines with water, and while firing aviation assets slow the movement of the main fire. Firefighters will continue to focus on strengthening the lines where the Mt. Wilson's firing operation occurred. A focus of our efforts today and tomorrow will be securing the west side of the fire before winds shift to the northeast Sunday. Engines will be patrolling for smoke near the foothill communities. Yesterday, crews continued monitoring and patrolling containment lines from Camp Trask all the way to Chantry Flat in Santa Anita Canyon. In Antelope Valley, crews continued to secure lines and mop up around structures.

north of the forest.
• South of Highway 138, east of 165th Street E., west of Largo Vista Road., and north of the forest.
• South and west of Upper Big Tujunga Canyon, east of Angeles Forest Highway, and North of
Angeles Crest Highway
• Residences along Angeles Crest Highway, between Angeles Forest Highway and Highway 39.
