The San Leandro Police Department is aware of social media activity regarding a possible “meet-up” at Bayfair Center on Saturday evening (9/26).  This “meet-up” is distinct from peaceful protesting and may be associated with criminal activity that occurred earlier this month in nearby cities.  At this time, we are unable to confirm if this “meet-up” will take place, but we are alerting the community so the residents and businesses can plan ahead.  Police staffing will be increased accordingly, and updates will be provided if more information becomes available.
