Southbound Third Avenue in Chula Vista Closed Tuesday-Friday between E and F Streets 
Beginning Tuesday, September 29, through Friday, October 2, the southbound lanes of Third Avenue in downtown Chula Vista will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The closure, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., is necessary to allow the installation of large palm trees in the center median.
Traffic control and signage will be in place to route traffic and pedestrians around the area. MTS buses will be rerouted as well.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the construction period. Thank you for your cooperation as the Third Avenue Streetscape project continues.
