Flood Warning until 01:30PM Saturday
The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a
* Flood Warning for... Seward and vicinity
* Until 130 PM AKDT Saturday. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Resurrection River and Streams in the Seward area.
* Over three inches of rain have already fallen since Wednesday morning.
* Additional rainfall of 4-6 inches is expected over the area through Saturday afternoon. This should cause significant flooding along the Resurrection River and other small streams in the Seward area as water levels are currently at or near bankfull.
* The Resurrection River at the Exit Glacier gage could rise 1 to 3 feet from current levels cresting Friday afternoon. It is likely that a portion of the runway at the Seward airport could be covered with water during the event with higher water associated with the high tide Thursday night.
* Flooding of some low lying roads and properties is possible.
* AFFECTED AREAS: WESTERN PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND
