Advisory

Commercial Burglary

On Friday, October 2, 2020 at 4:50 AM, the Middleton Police Department was dispatched to Pit Stop Express at 3303 Parmenter Street for a burglar alarm. Upon their arrival, officers discovered that the front door’s glass was broken out and the business had been burglarized.

Moments later, a responding officer witnessed a suspicious subject on a bicycle leaving the area. When contact was attempted, this subject fled from police, crashed his bike, and then continued to flee on foot. Middleton officers were able to apprehend the suspect a short distance away, and he was identified as Nathan S. McIntyre, 40, of Waunakee. McIntyre had stolen property from Pit Stop Express in his possession and he matched the description of the suspect committing the burglary on the store’s video surveillance system.

McIntyre was booked into the Dane County Jail on charges of Burglary, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
