Flood Warning until 01:30PM Saturday
Some locations that will experience flooding include... Resurrection River and Streams in the Seward area.
* The 2-3 inches of accumulated precipitation over the past 24 hours in the Seward area has swollen area rivers. Additional flooding from Resurrection River is expected to occur Friday afternoon and last through Saturday morning. Other small streams in the Seward area may see flood levels reached as water levels are currently at or near bankfull.
* The Resurrection River near Exit Glacier could rise 1 to 2 feet from current levels cresting late Friday afternoon. It is likely that a portion of the runway at the Seward airport will remain covered with water during the event with higher water associated with the high tide Friday night.
* Significant flow and debris is expected through the Lowell Creek Diversion tunnel through Friday night.
* AFFECTED AREAS: WESTERN PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND
