Vehicle vs Building Crash

The Middleton Police Department is investigating a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2015 Parmenter Street early Monday morning.

At approximately 1:00am on October 5, 2020, a Middleton police officer found damage to a traffic control signal at the intersection of Parmenter Street and University Avenue and a car crashed into the southwest corner of St. Bernard Church. The driver was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. A brick wall along the west side of the church property, as well as the church building itself sustained damage.

It appears that alcohol was a factor in the crash. The driver is being cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated and Open Intoxicants.
