Burr Ridge Police announce that NARCAN, used to reverse an opioid overdose, is now available for free through DuPage County. 
Since 2015 the Burr Ridge Police Department has partnered with the DuPage County Health Department to ensure all officers have Naloxone (NARCAN, Evzio) which is a medication designed to rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. To date, Burr Ridge Officers have saved 13 lives. In DuPage County, over 700 overdoses were reversed with NARCAN.
If your family would benefit from having NARCAN available at home, the DuPage County Health Department is providing NARCAN at NO COST to community members.
