Liquor Thief Arrested, Charged with Robbery 
SUBJECT: Liquor Theft Leads to Robbery Charge

LOCATION: Rt. 66 in Ocean Township
ACCUSED: Jesse A. Chinn 35 year old male of Neptune, NJ
NARRATIVE: On October 5, 2020 at approximately 10:15 pm, Officer Weinkofsky was flagged down by several employees of a business in Seaview Square. The employees reported that a male subject stole a bottle of liquor from behind the bar and shoved an employee while fleeing. Officer Weinkofsky provided a description of the suspect to dispatch and requested other officers to respond. Officer Weinkofsky immediately began searching the area and located a subject matching the description provided on the eastbound side of Rt. 66. Officer Weinkofsky detained the subject, now identified as Jesse A. Chinn. A large bottle of Crown Royal liquor was located on Chinn which was identified as stolen from the establishment. Officers Jones, Angelo, and Stenger arrived on location to assist. Mr. Chinn was placed under arrest and charged with Robbery. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute pending a court appearance.
