Stabbing at Sequoia Station

On Sunday, October 4th, 2020, at approximately 7:24 PM, Redwood City Police Officers responded on a “911” call of a person down in front of Safeway at Sequoia Station. Once officers arrived on scene a group of people were observed standing around a male in front of the south doors to Safeway. The male was bleeding significantly from two chest stab wounds and a stab wound to his right arm. Officers applied a tourniquet and applied pressure to the wounds until relieved by Redwood City Fire and AMR.

A perimeter was established and witnesses were identified. The victim was transported to Stanford and was brought into emergency surgery for life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled on foot and was described as a light skinned male, 30-40 years-old, medium build with a buzz cut. The suspect and weapon are still outstanding.
