Please Wear Masks/Face Coverings

Town of Danville Update:  10.6.20

REMINDER: Please Continue to Wear Face Coverings

Over the past few days we have received several messages from residents concerned about individuals in Danville not wearing face coverings while in public. As a result, we are asking the community to continue to follow the County Health Order by practicing social distancing and wear face coverings/masks.

Contra Costa County is currently in the Red Tier on the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Wearing face coverings and social distancing are vital to keeping the rate of new infections down and allowing further reopening.

One of the areas of concern is in our newly reopened playgrounds. Please remember that children over the age of 2 should be wearing face masks, as well as parents. Some of the other restrictions in regards to using the playgrounds are:

  • No food or drinks in the play area
  • Wash hands before/after playing
  • Social Distance – play in your social bubble
  • If park is crowded limit playtime to allow others to play
  • Stay home if anyone is displaying COVID-19 symptoms

Once again, we ask residents to abide by the requirements in the County Health Order so that we can continue to see our rate of positive cases drop and move forward in reopening.
