Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 10/06/2020 at approximately 2311 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Shady Shore Dr, in Howard Township, Cass County Michigan.
51-year-old Niles resident, Brian Grice, was traveling westbound on Lake Shore Drive. The driver of the motorcycle had ran off the roadway and struck a pole on the side of the road. The driver was transported, by ambulance, to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
Assisting in this crash was Howard Township Fire, Michigan State Police and SMCAS Ambulance.
