The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents to secure their residences when they leave and report suspicious persons or vehicles immediately by calling the Sheriff’s Communication Center at (805) 654-9511.  If residents are leaving for an extended period of time, arrangements can be made for extra patrol in your neighborhood.  Remember, leaving open or unlocked windows and doors makes residences an easy target.  Suspects look for indications that the residences are unoccupied and then force entry inside, often targeting jewelry, small safes, and other valuables.
