Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 23 year old Hispanic man in East Los Angeles. 

On Thursday, October 8, 2020, at 7:45 PM, deputies from East Los Angeles Station responded to the intersection of South Bonnie Beach Place and 6th Street in unincorporated Los Angeles regarding a call of an assault with a deadly weapon that had just occurred. 

Upon arriving they discovered the victim unresponsive lying in the street. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The victim appeared to have sustained blunt force trauma. 

The suspect, a male Hispanic, unknown age, was last seen running from the scene.  

This incident appears to be gang related.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to a  death investigation. The incident occurred on the 500 block of Bonnie Beach Place, in Los Angeles, at approximately 7:30 P.M.
                                                               
The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.
