This past Tuesday, members of Sheriff Victor Hill elite COBRA unit observed a newer model Jaguar on Flat Shoals Rd.  The elite unit was already looking for the vehicle when they found that the registered owner (Eric Harris) had a felony escape warrant since 11/30/2018 out of Gwinnett County, and a warrant  for Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer Fort Lauderdale Florida.

When members of COBRA attempted to pull the vehicle over with one unit to pulling in front of the car to box it in, Harris took off at a high rate of speed and turned onto 314 headed toward Godby Rd.  Harris lost control at the dead end of 314 and crashed.    Harris then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.  K9 Tir who is also a member of COBRA  apprehended Harris after a brief foot pursuit.  Harris had several credit cards with different names on them, drugs, and a firearm in the Jaguar.

Harris is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail better known as “The Hill-ton”.
