Lake County Glass Fire Evacuation Warnings Rescinded & Hwy 29 has been Re-opened between Calistoga & Middletown
In conjunction with the Glass Fire Incident Management Team, the Lake County Sheriff's Office is lifting the  EVACUATION WARNING for: Zone E024 - The areas South of Rancheria Road, East of the Lake / Sonoma County Line, North of the Lake / Napa County Line, and West of Highway 29. The EVACUATION WARNING for Zone E154 - The areas South of Mirabel Road, East of Highway 29, North of the Lake / Napa County Line, and West of McGuire and Three Peaks ridgeline is also lifted. SAFETY MESSAGE – The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Please continue to adhere to road closures and any Evacuation Warnings or Evacuation Orders. A reminder to drive slowly and yield to emergency personnel in the area. There will be smoke in the respective areas as firefighters continue firefighting operations. If at any time you feel unsafe, please call 911.
 
Returning Home After a Wildfire –
·       Check ground for hot spots, smoldering stumps, and vegetation.
·       Check the roof and exterior areas for sparks or embers.
·       Check the attic and throughout your house for any hidden burning sparks or embers.
·       Check for fire damage to your home, turn off all appliances and make sure the meter is not damaged before turning on the main circuit breaker.
·       Check the well or pump-house to ensure it is in working order.
·       Contact 911 if any danger is perceived.
·       Consult local experts on the best way to restore and plant your land with fire-safe landscaping.
