The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended the
* Flood Warning for... West Central Habersham County in northeastern Georgia...
* Until 945 PM EDT.
* At 726 PM EDT, Soque River flood waters from around Clarkesville to the confluence of the Chattahoochee River will continue to slowly recede through the late evening. Residents and property owners are urged to continue to monitor river levels and take appropriate actions to protect life and property.
* AFFECTED AREAS: HABERSHAM, GA
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
