CV Deputies Nab Three for Grand Theft Auto in La Crescenta
Yesterday morning, our field Deputies received information that a stolen vehicle may be driving around our area. Deputies Krajewski and Howell began to comb the area for the car. At around 8:50 AM, they saw the car driving westbound Foothill Blvd from Briggs Ave. They caught up to the vehicle as it pulled into a shopping center at the 2600 block of Foothill Blvd, La Crescenta. The Deputies quickly and safely detained the three occupants of the vehicle. The two juveniles were detained for grand theft auto. The one male adult was arrested for grand theft auto. Deputies also learned one suspect was on probation for burglary and shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
Crescenta Valley Station would like to remind everyone of a few vehicle theft prevention tips. Please remember to always lock your car. NEVER leave a set of keys in the car or your car running unattended. Many vehicle thefts are crimes of opportunity. By adhering to the above, you greatly reduce the chances of your vehicle being stolen.
If you see suspicious activity, please call our station at 818-248-3464. If it is an emergency, dial 911.
