Please see attached email for important covid-19 information
First, I need to acknowledge the fact we have unfortunately seen a rise in positive case counts across the State of New Jersey and in our West Essex community. As such, the Borough of North Caldwell has decided to pause all Borough recreation offerings and close all Borough recreation facilities through October 23 out of an abundance of caution and based upon recommendations from our local health department. Recreation offerings will be re-opened in accordance with all guidance provided by the local health department.
It is important everybody continues safe hygiene practices and wear cloth face coverings when indoors or when social distancing cannot be achieved. Please be reminded large gatherings should be avoided. For additional information, please visit the State Health Department's website for guidelines on best practices for personal hygiene, being in public places, and social gatherings.
The Borough remains in regular contact with our local health official. It is also important the entire community remain cooperative with the Health Department as they continue their contact-tracing efforts. Thank you for your cooperation, which is essential in slowing down the rise in positive case counts.
