On Monday, October 12, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies from the Wasco Substation heard gunfire in the area of the 1000 block of Broadway. Deputies responded to the area and conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle leaving the area. The driver, Anthony Rocha from Wasco, was detained and during a search of his vehicle, deputies located a loaded firearm and illegal narcotics. Rocha was arrested and booked into the Central Receiving Facility for Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale along with additional law violations.
