Crime Blotter for the Week of October 4-10, 2020

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of October 04 – October 10, 2020        
 
October 04, 2020

  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon:
An assault with a deadly weapon was reported near Broach Avenue/Lewiston Street. A male adult driving a black vehicle drove behind the victim’s car southbound Broach Avenue. As the victim made a U-Turn, the suspect fired several shots at the victim as he drove by. The suspect vehicle drove westbound Lewiston Street and out of view. The victim was not injured. Surveillance video captured the incident.
 
  • Burglary(Shoplifting):
A theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target). At approximately 9:00 am, a male adult was seen on security video entering the store and selecting numerous beauty products from the cosmetic aisle. The male placed the items inside a bag and exited the store without paying. The suspect was seen placing the stolen items in a silver Toyota Prius. The suspect then re-entered the Target store, where he stole additional beauty products. A surveillance video of the incident was available. The estimated loss for both thefts was $1135.
 
  • Burglary (Vehicle):
A vehicle burglary was reported on the 1800 Block of Evergreen Street.The victim stated between 10-02-20, 2:00 pm and 10-04-20, 1:20 pm, unknown persons shattered the rear passenger window to the vehicle and stole several credit cards. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $302.
 
  • Petty Theft (On-Line Purchase) SORT Report:
An unauthorized purchase (online) was reported on the 1800 block of 2nd Street. The victim stated on 09-26-20 at 2:15 am, an unknown person used the victim’s credit card to purchase items online. The suspects were unable to complete the purchase. There was no loss.
 
October 05, 2020
  • Burglary (Vehicle):
A vehicle burglary was reported on the 2200 Block of Huntington Drive. The victim stated between 10-04-20, 4:00 pm, and 10-05-20, 9:45 am, unknown persons shattered the front driver side window to the vehicle and stole a fire extinguisher and roadside assistance bag. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $480.
 
  • Petty Theft (Yard Signs) SORT Report:
A theft of yard signs was reported on the 100 block of Cedarwood Avenue.On 09-27-20 at 8:20 pm, unknown persons stole yard signs from the location. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $1.50.
 
October 06, 2020
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 1000 Block of Hamilton Road. The robbery occurred between 10-05-20, 6:00 pm, and 10-06-20, 7:00 pm. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s Chevy 3500 van. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $1,000.
 
October 07, 2020
  • Grand Theft Auto:
A victim reported their vehicle had been stolen near the 1500 Block of Bradbury Avenue. The victim’s Dodge Ram-1500 was stolen between 10-06-20, 10:00 pm, and 10-07-20, 9:20 am from the location. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The vehicle is still outstanding.
 
October 08, 2020
  • Petty Theft (Shoplifting):
A petty theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target). The store manager reviewed surveillance video and noticed that on 10-07-20, 7:20 pm, a male and female adult were seen entering the store and selecting several items from within the store. The suspects placed the items inside a shopping cart and exited the store, making no attempt to pay for the items. Surveillance video captured the incident.The estimated loss was $623.
 
  • Petty Theft (Gold Ring):
A petty theft was reported on the corner of Buena Vista Street and Duarte Road. The victim dropped her gold ring on the floor, and a male adult known to the victim grabbed the ring and ran northbound Buena Vista Street and out of view. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video.The estimated loss was $350.

October 10, 2020
  • Robbery(Firearm):
A victim reported he was robbed near Buena Vista Street/Galen Street. At approximately 8:30 am, two male adults driving a black Ford Mustang approached the victim and ordered him to surrender his phone and wallet.After the victim gave his property, the suspects drove southbound Buena Vista Street and out of view. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $750.
 
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon:
An assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 1400 Block of Three Ranch Road. A male adult known to the victims pointed a knife in a threatening manner at two male adults during a party. Deputies arrested the suspect at the location. The suspect did not injure either victim.
 
  • Burglary (Shoplifting):
A theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target). The store manager reviewed the surveillance video and noticed that on 10-06-20, 10:06 pm, a female adult entered the store and placed several packs of Nicorette Gum inside her shopping cart. The female then exited the store, making no attempt to pay for the items. Surveillance video captured the incident. The estimated loss was $851.
 
  • Petty Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported that their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 1300 Block of Highland Avenue. The robbery occurred between 10-08-20, 5:00 pm, and 10-09-20, 9:00 am. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s Dodge 250 van. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $500.
