La Cañada Flintridge Burglary Suspect Arrested by Crescenta Valley Deputies
On Friday, September 25th, 2020 a residential burglary occurred on the 1600 block of Leycross Drive, La Cañada Flintridge. The suspect responsible for the burglary was captured on a home video surveillance system while he was inside and outside the home. The suspect was observed by a witness leaving the scene in an older model Toyota Camry. When Deputies arrived and interviewed the witness, they ran the vehicle’s make and model through department resources. They were able to identify a Toyota Camry they believed was involved in the burglary.
On October 13th, 2020 at approximately 9:00AM, Crescenta Valley Station patrol Deputies learned the Toyota Camry was in the La Cañada Flintridge area. All station personnel (including detectives and La Crescenta units) responded to the area and began searching for the vehicle. The car was eventually located by Sergeant Taylor. The vehicle was parked and unoccupied near the 1200 block of Flintridge Drive. Deputies began canvassing the area and detained a male who closely matched the description of the burglary suspect. The suspect admitted the Toyota Camry was his. The suspect was ultimately arrested for the above burglary. Crescenta Valley Station detectives are looking into other recent burglaries to see if there is any link to the vehicle or suspect.
