Police Arrest Robbery Suspect
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – October 15, 2020 – Hollister Police arrested a suspect for a robbery that occurred in the downtown area of Hollister.
On October 15, 2020, at about 9:00 am, officers were dispatched to the area of Downtown Hollister District on a report of a man walking around the area holding a pistol wrapped in a red bandana.
Dispatch advised the man was described as a Hispanic male adult, bald, thin, wearing a striped shirt and blue jeans. The male was last seen walking between the A&W Restaurant on South St. at East St. and the 7-11 Store at 915 San Benito St.
Officer Ornelas and Officer Anderson responded to the area and circulated in an attempt to locate the suspect. They contacted a man matching the description on the 300 block of Sixth Street. He was identified as Raul Bedolla (36) a transient with prior addresses from Santa Clara County and Hollister.
During the investigation, Officers were able to determine Bedolla had allegedly displayed an object made to appear to be a gun and threatened the victim while commiting the robbery.
Bedolla was charged with felony robbery and he was transported and booked at the San Benito County Jail. .
