SUBJECT: Prostitution Investigation Leads to Narcotics Charges

LOCATION: Rt. 35 in Ocean Township
ACCUSED: Lauren B. Platt 38 year old female of Wayne, NJ
NARRATIVE: On October 15th, 2020 at approximately 10:38pm Detectives Michael Legg and Jesse Orbach were conducting an investigation regarding prostitution in the area. Detectives Legg and Orbach conducted a field contact with a female in the area of Rt. 35 near Logan Road. After a brief investigation, the female now identified as Lauren B. Platt was placed under arrest for engaging in prostitution. She was also charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and she was found to have an active warrant from Morris County. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a future court appearance.
