URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

RED FLAG WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PDT SATURDAY, 10/17 FOR CRITICALLY DRY CONDITIONS AND LOCALLY OFF SHORE WINDS. 
 
* AFFECTED AREA...North and East Bay Mountains. 
 
* WIND...Offshore winds are trending weaker however breeze north to northeast winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts 20 to 40 mph remain possible through the night at the higher elevations through the night with gust possible 20 to 30 mph.
 
* HUMIDITY...Daytime humidity values will drop as low as 8 to 18
  percent with little to very limited nighttime recoveries.
 
* HIGHEST THREAT...Mountains of Napa County and northeastern Sonoma County.
 
* IMPACTS...Any fires that start will likely spread rapidly due
  to the combination of dry fuels, strong and gusty north-
  northeasterly winds, and very low humidities.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
