PG&E PSPS Power Outage Expected Not to Impact Lafayette, Lamorinda
Post Date: 10/19/2020 2:09 PMPG&E has notified the City of Lafayette that it is planning a PSPS power outage for Thursday and Friday, October 22 & 23, 2020. The PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff event will affect 500 customers in Contra Costa County, but is not expected to impact Lafayette, Moraga, or Orinda.
This week's PSPS event is focused on the same area affected in last week's outage. Power is scheduled to be turned off between 4:00 - 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22in Morgan Territory and the neighborhoods at the base of Mt. Diablo in Walnut Creek, and areas of Danville and San Ramon. Re-energization will take place between 8:00 a.m. and noon on Friday, October 23, 2020.
At this time, the upcoming PSPS event is not expected to affect the City of Lafayette or the Lamorinda area.
