Homicide update 
DATE / TIME: October 19, 2020 / 1434 Hours
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Homicide
LOCATION: Homeless Camp west of the 1800 block of Wilson
Avenue
Incident Details:
On 10/19/20, at about 0234 hours, Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the area of the 1800 block of Wilson Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and were flagged down by a male transient, who admitted that he had fatally shot another transient male with a bow and arrow at a nearby transient camp. Officers were directed to the campsite by the suspect. Officers located an unresponsive male with a fatal arrow wound. Medics and Fire personnel pronounced the male deceased.
The Investigations Division were called to the scene to investigate the homicide.
Miguel Venegas, a 39-year old homeless man, was booked into jail for murder.
The Hispanic male victim’s information is not being released until the next of kin is notified.
