Update for 10/25/20 PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event: Posted 1"/24/20 at 6:09pm.

Current information indicates de-energization may be pushed back from 4 p.m. to around 8 p.m.  Re-energization will now occur on Tuesday, instead of Wednesday.

PG&E will have two Community Resource Centers (CRC) in Lamorinda.  One will be in Lafayette at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at 1035 Carol Lane.  The other is located in Moraga at Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church at 10 Moraga Valley Lane.  Both locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Each location will have snacks, water, device charging, ADA-accessible restroom and washing station, small medical device charging, and Wi-Fi.

The Lafayette Police Department will have device charging only available in front of the PD at 3471 Mt. Diablo Blvd.  Charging will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lafayette PD will be providing generator power to several key intersections during this PSPS event to allow for fully functional signal operation.  Temporary stop signs and cones will be set up at other intersections.  City of Lafayette Public Works will have staff on-duty 24/7 to assist the Police Department with any hazards that arise during the PSPS event.  During a power outage, any traffic signals that are not operational should be treated as a four-way stop.
