The PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff is scheduled to begin tonight at 8:00pm.  It is scheduled to last until Monday evening.  However, before the power lines can be re-energized, all of the lines must be inspected and, if necessary, repaired before the power can be restarted.  This may result in some delays in power being turned back on.

PG&E has established a Community Resource Center at the Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church on Moraga Valley Lane.  The CRC is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm during the days when the PSPS is occurring.  The CRC has charging stations, ADA accessible restrooms and washing stations, Wi-Fi, waters, snacks and is staffed by PG&E personnel who may be able to provide additional information.

Please remember that the Lamorinda area is under a Red Flag Fire Warning due to the EXTREME FIRE DANGER.  Our area is expected to experience high winds and low humidity tonight and tomorrow.  We should all exercise extreme caution during this time due to the danger of fires that would be very dangerous and spread rapidly due to the wind and dry fuels.

Moraga Police and Moraga-Orinda Fire will have additional personnel working during this time.  However, we all need to work together to keep Moraga safe.  Please call 9-1-1 to report fires and emergencies.  Please call Moraga Police at 925-284-5010 (Dispatch) or 925-888-7055 (during business hours) with any questions.  You can also check the status of your address and ascertain if you are affected by the PSPS by going to www.pge.com.
