Fire shortly after midnight next to Dairyman's Feed
Shortly after midnight today a fire started along the Lynch Creek Trail in Petaluma at the end of Copeland Street near Dairyman’s Feed. The fire quickly spread to a large pile of wood pallets and as firefighters arrived it had spread to several semi-truck grain trailers on the Dairyman’s property. If in the area, you may have heard several loud noises that sounded like large explosions. That sound was the large trailer tires rupturing due to the fire. Three trailers were damaged, but the fire was kept from spreading to any other vehicles or structures. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
