SUMMARY:
Several residents of the city of Highland have had several issues with vehicles speeding on Greenspot Road. Several vehicles meet up at the Iron Bridge and race on Greenspot Road causing safety concerns for residents in the Highland area. There have been several traffic collisions due to unsafe speed caused by drivers.
On October 22nd - October 24th deputies from the Highland Station conducted traffic enforcement in the area. Over the course of enforcement, deputies issued a total of 33 citations for traffic violations including driving without a license, expired registrations, and various other infractions. Several traffic stops were conducted resulting in two vehicles being towed, and four arrests to include felony and misdemeanors. Deputies will continue to monitor the area and provide safety for the residents of Highland.
