* WHERE...The Piedmont, northern Sandhills, and northern Coastal Plain of central North Carolina, approximately along and north of a line from the cities of Albemarle to Sanford to Rocky Mount and Tarboro.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT this evening. The strongest winds are likely to occur through 2 PM.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Numerous to widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
